Meet the Manager
Mick Murray
I am currently based at Cornwall Care's new home Cedar Grange in Launceston. Since retiring from the Metropolitan Police Service in June 2003 I have worked within the care profession. I worked with Cornwall County Council Social Services as a family aide, working with both children and adults with disabilities and challenging behaviour. I then worked with Plymouth Social Services helping children of all ages who were in care. Until recently I managed a day centre within Cornwall Care at Chyvarhas in Callington. I moved to my current post in January 2008.
I have been trained in caring for people who are diagnosed with dementia. I also hold an NVQ2 in Care.
I am married, have a son who is serving in the police and a daughter studying for a degree in sports therapy. I have three golden retrievers, live near Liskeard and enjoy sailing and flying. I am also the Chairman of the local branch of the RNLI.
