Cornwall Care Limited is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. As a charity, any surpluses that we make are re-invested into our care services, staff and premises for the benefit of our clients and staff.
Unlike most charities, Cornwall Care does not receive grants or donations for its work, but is funded from fees for the services it provides. Fees are received from two main sources, private clients and publicly funded clients (funded by Department of Adult Social Care, Cornwall Primary Care Trust or Cornwall Partnership Trust).
The majority of our expenditure is spent on our staff and properties. We invest significantly in care services each year, particularly staff training in order to maintain a well qualified workforce and a high quality of care provision. Investment in our properties is also significant in order to maintain a safe and pleasant environment in which to live.
