Q. What kind of services does My Choice provide?
A. My Choice provides a wide range of services from personal care, domestic help, shopping, food preparation to laundry.

Q. How much does My Choice cost?
A. Prices are based on each individual needs depending on the length of time we need to meet your needs and the nature of service you require. All clients well be assessed and given the opportunity to discuss their individual needs.

Q. Does My Choice carry out night sits?
A. We are available to help as and when you need us and this includes night sits.

Q. What time of day does My Choice deliver their services?
A. My Choice is a 24 hour service and will endeavour to deliver services as and when required.

Q. Do you provide cleaning products for your domestic service?
A. We currently do not provide our own cleaning products these must be provided by our clients. However, a full assessment of cleaning products must be undertaken before our service begins.

Q. How do I pay for the service?
A. If you are funding your own care an invoice will be sent to you each month. Our care, management and head office teams are always on hand to help out with any queries you may have.

Q. Do My Choice carers cut toenails?
A. It is very important to take care of your nails and we would recommend that you contact a chiropodist.

Q. Can My Choice carers administer ear/eye drops?
A. Unfortunately we are unable to administer ear / eye drops but we will look into finding someone who can help you.

Q. Do rooms have en suite wcs?
A. This varies greatly from home to home contact the home you are interested in for more information.

Q. Are there any quiet areas in the home?
A. Most of our homes have a quiet lounge or area where there is no TV or radio playing.

Q. Do all the residents have dementia?
A. In some of our homes, all the residents have dementia. In others they do not. Residents who do not have dementia are normally provided with separate living areas.

Q. Can they go out in the garden?
A. Yes. In many of our homes we have gardens which are secure. The open air can be enjoyed even by those with dementia without risk of getting lost.

Q. Are there any trips out?
A. Trips are arranged periodically in the homes' minibuses. These tend to happen in the summer months when the weather is more pleasant. Trips will usually be to a local place of interest or beauty spot, and may include a stop for a meal or a drink.

Q. What are the Fees?
A. Subject to a personal needs assessment, along with the style of accommodation, i.e. en-suite, size of room, access to garden, views etc.

Q. Do the fees cover all the services available?
A. Yes except transport cost's.

Q. Under what circumstances would the fees change?
A. Re-assessment of need. Annual increase in line with government pensions.

Q. What are visiting times?
A. There are no formal visiting times. We would however ask visitors to familiarize themselves with their relatives daily routines including mealtimes. Clients can invite their relatives to join them for a meal most times.

Q. Can they bring in Personal things?
A. Perspective clients and their family are shown the proposed vacant room. Clients are encouraged to bring with them any personal furniture and belongings that they can fit into the room. We will check the safety of electrical equipment annually, and we can only accept furniture into the building which meets modern fire safety standards.
