If you feel that you would like to make a difference to the lives of older people, Cornwall Care welcome work experience/learning disabled students.
CRB checks, health and safety procedures and insurance requirements are covered by the school/college and this is agreed and signed by both the parent/guardian and Cornwall Care.
Students are given a basic induction into the home, health and safety matters, and fire procedures and are made aware of moving and handling procedures.
It is made clear to students that whilst they are unable to carry out personal care there are a number of other duties they can help with, eg assisting with meals, activities and house keeping.
Students are encouraged to maintain their own progress booklet whilst Cornwall Care agree to supervise their learning curriculum and advise them of the career pathway available to them.
