We specialise in dementia and mental health care and we’re are proud to have such a unique and special home. At The Green we have key workers for each resident – our team really get to know our residents and their families which contributes to our positive and relaxed atmosphere.
We also provide day care Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm and put on many fun and stimulating activities and events. We believe that the people who live with us should be able to continue to do the things they enjoy for as long as they want to, so we’re a very active home.
We have great links with the community of Redruth. Local schoolchildren often come to see us, whether to entertain us with their choirs and plays or to involve us in their educational projects. Some of our residents regularly visit their own church and a vicar joins us once a month for hymn singing – we’ve even made 2 CDs.
Our home is split into seven spacious and nicely decorated living units. Each one is named after a local beach and is unique in its own way. We have our own vegetable plot where we grow fresh seasonal vegetables for the kitchen and there’s a nice area with a greenhouse for those who would like to bring in seedlings. We also have eight chickens who keep us supplied with lovely fresh eggs and our safe enclosed courtyard with raised flower beds and a fish pond is a wonderful place for people to sit and get some fresh air. All in all, we have a lovely friendly and welcoming home to live and work in.
If you would like to speak to us or visit, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

The Green is a really special place. The building is unique and we have a brilliant team. I’ve been in care for 31 years and I know it’s important for people to be happy where they work. We encourage people to take ownership of their roles and make sure they know they are supported. This makes for a happy workplace and means we provide a great service to our residents.
This job has always come naturally to me and I’ve been here now for four years. It’s really fun has and a good atmosphere – we all work really well as a team and it’s very relaxed, supportive and happy. I like that our care is person-centred. It means we get to know our residents and make sure they get the best out of their experience here. The home has a really nice layout with different individual wings and an open courtyard that we decorate in the summer.
My brother lived at The Green for several years. He had advanced dementia as well as Downs Syndrome. I cannot praise highly enough the care and compassion that was shown to Paul while he was there. The care also extended to me as I had a 200 mile round trip to see him. Paul died almost five years ago, with me at his side in his room at The Green. I was terrified that it wouldn't be possible for the home to care for Paul as his life was reaching its end. I was told that he would be at The Green till the end and wasn't let down. Everything was done for us both that was humanly possible to do. Thank you all so much.Ruth Jordan, sister of resident
