Flexipool
Cornwall Care is a charity with 18 care homes across the county - all CQC inspected - and employing 1300 staff - making us, by some way, the biggest independent provider in Cornwall. But we aim to be the best not just the biggest and that means being quick on our feet when the need arises; ready for any eventuality. And that means staff who can step up to a variety of nursing and care challenges.
To help us do that we like to keep on call a group of the very best who have the experience, skills and attitude to swing into action when we need them to. We call it our Flexipool - a team on demand to help when we need it most.
These professionals may not seek full time employment but will have done well in it in the past and they probably won’t seek every shift there is going but relish the chance of slotting into a busy team from time to time when the opportunity arises. That kind of flexibility in the work/life balance suits them and it suits us to.
Of course its not just about skills and experience its about compassion and heart too; but we don’t need to tell the right candidates that.
